Here’s what you can do before the inspector arrives to dramatically increase your chances of a pass:
Check your sockets, light switches, and visible wiring. If anything looks cracked, exposed, or loose — get it sorted.

If you’ve made changes yourself — or the previous owner has — make sure it’s certified and safe. DIY is a major red flag during inspections.
Make sure gas and water pipes are bonded with green/yellow cables. Lack of bonding is one of the most frequent EICR failures.
We’re fully certified, NICEIC-approved, and insured — which means your report is 100% valid and trusted across London.

We’re here to help you:
✅ Pass first time

If your EICR shows unsatisfactory results (C1, C2, or FI codes), you’ll need to carry out remedial work to fix the issues before a “satisfactory” certificate can be issued. We offer remedial work services and retesting to get you compliant quickly.
Before your EICR, check sockets, switches, and visible wiring. Avoid using plug-in extensions, and make sure the electrician has access to the consumer unit and key circuits. If you suspect any outdated wiring or a lack of RCDs, address them early.
The duration depends on property size. A 1-bedroom flat may take 1–2 hours, while larger homes or commercial properties can take 3–5 hours. You’ll receive the official report within 24 hours of inspection.
Only qualified electricians who are registered with a government-approved scheme (like NICEIC) can issue a valid EICR. All our engineers are fully certified and insured.
