Which papers are worth keeping after an EICR?

A document this firm keeps for its own job is a company process, not a statutory pack.
A practical file
Match each paper to the request. An authority that asks for the condition report is not asking you to invent a folder title. If you were required to give a copy to a tenant or an authority, keep evidence of that supply. If you were not, a delivery note is still useful recordkeeping, and this page does not turn it into a duty.

| Remedial evidence | What was done about observations that called for work | Evidence of completed work. It is not a second EICR unless a new report was issued. |
| Further-investigation evidence | What was opened or tested after an FI observation | Evidence of the investigation. It does not rewrite the original observation by itself. |
| Installation or minor-works certificate | An Electrical Installation Certificate certifies the new installation, addition or alteration within its stated scope. It is not a periodic condition report for the rest of an existing installation. | Evidence of that new work. Not a second condition report for the rest of the installation. |
| Proof the report was supplied | A copy given to a tenant or an authority | A legal requirement only where supply was actually required. Otherwise useful recordkeeping. |

The landlord service is EICR certificates for landlords. Remedial work is remedial work for a failed EICR.
