What to expect from an EICR in Monument
An EICR tests the fixed wiring, consumer unit, sockets, switches and lights, and codes anything that falls short as C1, C2, C3 or FI. Here's what the local housing means for yours.

Licensing and landlord rules in the City of London

The City of London runs no additional or selective licensing. Only larger shared homes (5 or more people from 2 or more households) need a mandatory HMO licence, and the City's HMO standards ask for the electrical installation to be tested at least every 5 years.
Around Monument, the largest shares of addresses are in Tower ward. The City has no selective licensing, so a home let to a single household there doesn't need one. Ward boundaries don't follow postcodes, so check the exact address with the council.
Wherever you let in England, the Electrical Safety Standards Regulations require an EICR at least every 5 years, or sooner if the report says so.
